The major features

LEDs

Clearly visible LEDs provide information on the current signal status, possible overload, or short-circuiting of an output.

Link quality display

The link quality display indicates the current quality of the transmission path in four stages. The FS display (Fail-Save) provides information on a possible breakdown of the wireless connection.

Simple wiring

Inline connectors with the spring-cage system make wiring fast and simple.

Wireless transmission of data in an industrial environment with the Wireless MUX – An overview:

Simple

  • Unpack – connect – switch on – and you're up and running
  • No configuration or settings
  • The fixed "pairing" automatically takes care of setting up the connection and transmitting the signals

Safe

  • 128 bit data encoding
  • Permanent and clear assignment of the modules
  • Not visible to other Bluetooth devices

Fast

  • Cyclical data transmission
  • Signal delay less than 10 ms
  • Fast setting up of the connection

Reliable

  • Sturdy transmission procedure resistant to interference
  • Changes the transmission channel 1,600 times a second
  • Transmission in the 2.4 GHz frequency bandwidth makes it insensitive to the usual industrial sources of interference

WLAN-friendly

  • No mutual interference between WLAN 802.11b/g and Wireless MUX
  • Automatic detection and use of channels occupied by WLAN 802.11b/g
  • Transmission energy is cut to the level required
