Expanding Ethernet Excellence!

Phoenix Contact expands its Standard Function Narrow (SFN) line of industrial Ethernet Switches to include products for harsh environments, and a more basic product ideal for machine builders.

Harsh Environments

Phoenix Contact’s new SFNT unmanaged switches operate across a wide temperature range, making them suitable for harsh environments.  The switches are the latest addition to the Standard Function Narrow (SFN) line of unmanaged switches.

The SFNT switches can operate between -40 and 75 degrees Celsius. They also meet the increased noise immunity, shock and vibration standards necessary to operate in extreme environments.

Five- and eight-port versions are available for 10/100 mbps, as well as multimode fibre with SC and ST connections.  Like the original SFN, The SFNT’s narrow housing makes it suitable for control cabinets and junction boxes. The switches support Layer 1 port locks and cable locks and can process and prioritize Quality of Service messages.

Slim and cost-effective: Industrial SFNB switches

The advantage of the new SFNB switches is that they offer optimum suitability for industrial applications at a low cost. As a result of their cost-effective design, they are especially suitable for use in small machines and monitoring applications with basic Ethernet switching functions.

Cables, Connectors and Accessories

The versatile Factoryline accessories comprise passive elements that are required for network operation. The range of accessories comprises freely or pre-assembled patch cables and a wide range of mechanical safety solutions for LAN connections. Colour marking for cables and patch fields make the structure of Ethernet cabling clear. The Factoryline protective elements protect unused ports against ambient effects and keep them available.
