Modern measurement data recording using wireless technology

In the case of long transmission distances or distributed systems along the transport paths, wireless techniques are being used increasingly for transmitting the measured values and data. This helps in saving the costs and time involved in planning and constructing cable ducts and cable routes.

Transferring measured values and data using wireless technology

A wireless connection can be established extremely quickly and easily. An industrial wireless link offers new solutions wherever obstacles such as roads, rail tracks, plants or rivers need to be crossed.

The following wireless technologies are available

Trusted Wireless
A preferred technology for transmitting non-time-critical signals such as analog and digital process technology data over large distances.

Bluetooth
Used for integrating automation components in the fieldbus or industrial Ethernet networks

WLAN (IEEE802.11)
It is used for integrating many devices or PCs with high data rates in an IT or industrial Ethernet network.

GSM/GPRS-Modem
Used to make data available through telecommunication networks.
